Malteser

Post by heinrich »

Hi Everyone

Just joined the forum and I look forward to knowing other fellow re-enactor from the rest of the world !!

I'm located in Malta and we have just formed a Fallschirmjäger unit, the Ramcke Brigade. We have only been in existance a few months and the first WWII German unit in Malta. We look forward to exciting times ahead !!

I've met a guy from Malta last year in Ronse, belgium and he was also a German re-enactor. Is that you or perhaps it is someone in your group?

Thanks and yes do get in contact if you visit. We are having a constant flow of re-enactment requests, so you might get to watch us too. Next month we are actually giving a live firing demonstration using WWII firearms :D

Our goal is to start attending activities abroad too.

Wasn't me, but will ask if it's one in my group. We are currently the only German re-enactors, but I've heard that they tried to form such a group a year or so ago, which never really worked out.

Absolutely excellent to have you here! My grandfather was Maltese (Sleima) and I've been there too many times to recall.

One thing, do you get hostile reactions to your impression there? From what I recall, I'd imagine so.

Glad to have you aboard!

Welcome, great to find another Fallschirmjager reenactor. Malta is a great backdrop for doing the Ramcke Brigade. I spent a few weeks on nearby Gozo a few years back, great place.

Welcome to the forum and best of luck with the new group!
Can you post details of your next event when you have it finalised? I have a brother living in Malta, he'd love to go along to see you!
cheers.
