Well.............................. you put your eyes to the small bits...... and you can see things through the big bits on the other side....... It's dead clever.

I have some German ones that when you look through the little bits the thing you are looking at gets closer.
Cos they are German it moves dead quick. No matter how fast I put them down the thing I was looking at has gone back to being far away.
Bloody good them Germans.

HG, I didn't ask how to use them, I was thinking more of optical quality, FOV, depth of field, quality of image , how they preform in varying light conditions, sharpness at the centre and edge of the field of vision , relative weight in hand , eye relief and perhaps how the two sets from different makers compare.
You look at a sets of Kershaw, Ross , leitz and a Zeiss and whilst the :

The SOM has a very nice image. Together with Huet an Krauss I guess they are safe aquiaitions.....

Presumably BC might stand for something as mundane as Bulgarian Contract? The crest on the french made ones looks slightly like the Romanian crest on their helmets - the sort of back to back stylised letter C, just an observation.
