Received some photos of the cap in the revised pattern. The pebbled buttons have been replaced by wooden ones approximately the same style as the steinnuss type. Agreed, but you might have some trouble getting Janos from Schuster to reply. Myself and others have been trying to contact him for a few weeks with no luck.
