Re: Show us you!
I think I can reply to that... it seems like a replica of BA-64, Russian light armored car built on the chassis of Russian "jeep" GAZ-64 which in turn was derived from licence built 1934 Ford V8 (GAZ M-1). There is one like this in our club of military history.

I hope you will not be mad at me, but I think US uniform suits you better (including you leaning on a jeep)

Re: Wehrmacht Propagandakompanie
Here are the pictures of most of my Leica equipment. Although older my Leica IIIa from 1938 is in very good shape, my 1950 Leica IIIc is not technically in best order so it is undergoing some servicing right now, as well as 1949/1950 Leitz-Summitar lens, but hopefully I will be to make pictures with...

Re: Kriegsberichter Cuff-Title Question
Mapcase (Meldetasche) is handy, and also the empty flares pouch can serve for carrying films. I usually use mapcase, I wear it on my right hip, so I can quickly grab in if there is a need. Mapcase can be seen on some pics of Kriegsberichter, so it seems they were using it . But in the end it really ...

Re: Kriegsberichter-Archive
First of all, amazing job!
I will send more feed-back once I have seen more of your web page, but I really like this idea, although I specialize more in direction of Heer Bildberichters (Kriegsberichter des Heeres). Thumbs up!

Re: German short boots
From what I know, later in the war it was forbidden to blacken your shoes. But I will not fight for that. Anyway, my boots were light brown when I buyed them back in 2009, and by using shoe polish and lard for their treatment, their color is very dark brown now. Lard makes them waterproof as well (I...

Re: most realistic looking reenactment photo
I know, but there was no time at that moment  These pictures were made the same day, as we were building our DAK camp, so I was really dirty. Next time I will be more clean, I promise  And besides... don't you know when there was a Waschenverbot and Rasierenverbot you were not allowed to...

Re: most realistic looking reenactment photo
Finally I got pictures from this summer, the photographer was very busy and could not get to them sooner... But the long waiting was not in vain I think... http://img.janforman.com/th/SlovenskePiesky20121c54z.jpg http://img.janforman.com/th/SlovenskePiesky20122vi87.jpg Thanks Polo-x! :P

Re: Experiences with Pocket Trash?
I finally got the items I ordered, everything seems to be OK, there are no visible spelling mistakes. Items look nice, I am very satisfied, but it was very complicated to get the guys from PT to send them over.
