As a medic you can use a MG42 ammo box to carry extra equipment. Just paint a white dot with a red cross on both sides. Or perhaps you can get hold of a tornister Affe backpack. Just attach a red cross patch on or a German rucksack M31.

Here are a pic of my two helmets. Firstly a Heer single decal M35 helmet. Shell size 68. Then my M42 helmet with no decal. Shell size 66.
