Re: Gavinmilitaria, any good??
I had good service from Gavin. They sent me the correct size and the quality of wool was better than Sturm.

Re: A Frame - was the Gas Mask Tin attached to it?
I haven't found any pics that support it. There's a pic in Brian Davis (plate 359) which at one stage I wrongly believed showed it, but I later realised that it was just the tin sitting snugly below the loaded A-frame. M38 lid colours
Does anyone have information about the official colour of M38 helmets, please? I've got one in LW blue, but a friend has doubts that blue would have been in use by the time the war started. Thanks.

I've read this article here, but it doesn't answer everything. http://www.dererstezug.com/gascanmarkings.htm Principally, for the painted version on the bottom of the tin, what ar...

Re: Best Tunic on the mart.. on a budget..
I must agree with Steiner.I have seen one original M44 feldbluse, and the wool wasn't that good at all.So since some of sturms wool isn't that good.It shouldn't be a huge deal if you got a M43 or M44 feldbluse.Overall.In my personal honest opinion.Gavin Militaria's german feldblusen is the best out ...

Re: Best Tunic on the mart.. on a budget..
Not trying to pick a fight, but does anybody have an original M44? By that stage of the war, the quality would have been awful, containing little wool, so perhaps your Sturm one is realistic? What was wrong with the colour, out of interest?
