Thanks for your interest, oh, not mentioned in the post, we have several
members of a German Wehrmacht Volksgrenadier group as well.

We have a very busy 2012 ahead of us, so, busy, busy, busy.

Cheers, Bill.

Those of you who know the Das Reich lads may recognise the three chaps in the middle.

Museumsprojekt Heimat e.V.

Museumsprojekt Heimat e.V. is a recently formed association in Germany and although we are the only association in Germany to form a Waffen-SS group as our main impression, we are more than that and do have impressions from various other periods as well. http://img36.imageshack.us/img36/5431/001ahf....

Re: Oradour Sur Glane

**** they have lost the plot Interesting that it was breaking news at the same moment that Merkel met with Sarkozy to discuss the Euro Zone. Also interesting that the Germans wanted something from the French, so what better to make the French sweet? Lets not say there was an international political...

I found this thread late, hence my late reply.............

Always sad to see an old Kamerad pass on and with each one it gets that little bit more difficult.

A moment to reflect, Bill.

Re: Free Indian Legion

Anyone wishing to do this impression, it should be noted that there were Europeans within the unit.
A number of German NCO´s training Indian recruits and a British translator called Frank Becker.

Cheers, Bill.

Re: SS-Totenkopf (US) New website!

Photos look good and I had a look at your website too. The SSTK units were tough soldiers, a friend of mine served at Demjansk with the Totenkopf Division (I knew him as a fellow stamp collector) but he would sometimes talk about the war of an evening over a beer or two. Keep up the good work, Willi.
