Must admit that I did think the ribbon looked a little new and no comment that it was a replacement, as can sometimes happens.

A most unusual event, to say the least, to 'destroy' your own war memorial. Generally such memorials are sacrosanct, perhaps the RSL moved it somewhere else?

As part of the BGS 'static' public display we have put together a compilation of about 16 hours continuous play, a mix of speeches, military music, popular dance (swing), classical and traditional ballad-type music, all by German bands of the period. The material came from members and from this site...
