Re: Anyone imported a period vehicle from Europe to UK?

Depending on what the vehicle is... may be easier to register it as if it's a "barn find" in the UK, saying it was probably registered here once but no paperwork remains... get an ageing letter from the owners club and then the DVLA should not cause any problems or be any the wiser... ;)

Re: BMW R71

I'm aware that it is a replica, however it is better than just slapping some panzergrey paint and beemer emblems on a CJ or Dnepr and calling it a warbike. It's a Ural M72 with a new tank and civvy paint and beemer emblems slapped on - sounds exactly the same to me. And for 9000 euro you'd be getti...

Re: wearing of glasses

Get some original German 'dienstbrille' - they are very well made, I've been wearing a pair every day for about 2 years now with no problems.

Re: W-SS Kradschütze

But this would be a new thing... a new unit and with a little bit of imagination and some boldness an early war krad unit could be possible and what a sight it would be. I'll shut up now and get back in my bunker..... dont rock the boat or as a famous man says light a candle in the darkness. TTFN. ...

Picture 1 contains about £350,000.00 worth of Krads alone... I'll let someone else add up the cost of all matching kit.

One for Deitz,

What looks to me to be a Zundapp KS600 combo towing a Pak 36 + 5 blokes.
