I've had a period pair I got off eBay for ages, sitting there unused, because my optician wanted 100 notes to do the lenses - they're frameless/rimless (dunno the terminology) with basically just gold wire for the hooks. Did I just buy an awkward pair to convert or were they trying to rip me off? G...

What do people who wear glasses do for reenacting? I can just about get on without them but ideally need them all the time. Is it possible to get 40s style glasses with prescription lenses? A number of suppliers sell old German 'dienstbrille' or service glasses quite cheaply, I got mine from SOF. M...

I agree, and the quality of the photos is excellent - the foreground subjects are almost three dimensional in many examples. The FJ group (after your own heart) are particularly well portrayed.
