Re: Michael Gaißmair winter training

Yes sir we will have some weapons there Some airlines, such as Finnair, do allow guns on board as long as they are carried in the cargo hold and not in the cabin as hand luggage. But don't try this on Ryanair otherwise you will experience some issues as I did in Oktober ;-) Even empty magazines are...

Re: Division Wallonien

Kamerad great photos  did you use any winter skills from our training ? Yes indeed: amongst other things we learned last year in Finland: - start fire without paper - choose of a rest position when enemy can follow your trace in the snow - etc, ... + a few things about hiding fire smoke an...

Re: Division Wallonien

We just had our winter training. Weather was perfect for that: around -10 °C, plenty of snow and wind.
The idea this year was to build a well concealled position for MG crew in 2 hours, at night with only the normal Landser kit.
Big fun, a bit cold but great success.

Re: What do your Family think of reenacting?

My father is quite proud of it since Opa was in the Wehmacht and they had to suffer quite a lot from the post war repression so it is quite a revenge for him and he comes sometimes to events. My mother doesn't care about the uniforms but says "Why the hell do you need to sleep in the forest by -20 °...

Re: New unit member

Ok ok I informed Mr Helmut Schnee that he is not accepted in our unit. His first reaction was to melt but it appeared not to be possible. So we agreed he will play the allied ;-) Something tells me that he will not survive this winter battles ;-)

Re: easster show in germany

Sorry guys but we will probably not come. We don't have Wehrmacht uniforms at the moment (although we could purchase some in future to play the early Wallonien legion).

Many thanks to Kevin and Bill. They did their best. This was a big challenge.

See soon you on other events.
