Re: Staying in character?
It's slightly easie with a British group but still a pain in the arse staying in character. I keep forgetting as an officer these days I shouldnt be calling Nigel whose a corporal 'nigel' but 'Cheatam' or 'Corporal' or better still getting by Sgt to get him to do stuff :) We pretty much all ty and s...

Re: Weapons "out of place"
A lot of the time its a case of the 'grass is always greener' The average lad is on the receiving end of the enemies weapons... he sees the carnage they create . he doesnt see someone swearing at it everytime it has a stopage... or it misses because the sights are flawed or that the guy shooting at ...

Re: Oh the times they are a-changing
PBI is really run on a shoe string. Dieselmonkey runs out forum and website and generally takes the cost of that on hsi own shoulders, I tend to sort the foodout for events and while I tend to *nearly* breakeven it usually ends up costing me a bit to make sure everyones fed. Scaleyback runs the van ...

Re: Double Standards.
A similar question came up recently when we were organising a private airsoft battle. WWII airsoft has a fairly self imposed ban on 'political' uniforms and generally you won't see allgemeine or plain closed gestapo at battles... certainly not on participants. We've toyed with the idea before of hav...

Re: private battles were have they all gone?
Its not impossible. As long as everyone wore eye protection still. I think you'd have to use the airsoft element for 'hits' and the blank to create the ambience and sound and small of the battle other wise you'd have the potentially ridiculous situation of two guys facing off each other with rifles....

Re: private battles were have they all gone?
Guys we can probably field a couple of sections of authentic brits if you can muster 20 or so germans to do a trial run?

Re: private battles were have they all gone?
Hmm a rare post from me on here after much lurking.... The thing with 'wwii airsoft' is its a very varied beast as mentioned. Some events will be 'wwii airsoft' in so much as the organiser has said 'we're doing a game themed around hurtgen next week but you can come in whatever you like' through to ...

Re: WESTWALD/ARDENNES LIVING HISTORY EVENT - DECEMBER
It depends on what mags you use. Most airsoft RIFs have three types available. 'Realcap' 'Standard' 'hi-cap' (bit of a 4 letter word in ww2 airsoft circles.) Real cap between 10 and 50 rnds depending on what they are for, spring loaded like a real magazine. Standard as above but often with capacity ...

Re: WESTWALD/ARDENNES LIVING HISTORY EVENT - DECEMBER
As i've said before Paul, cracking idea and a logical step up from what we try and do with PBI events. For that are considering asking Warren from shoot and scoot for a custom gun btw, do it sooner than later. hes a pretty small business and usually very highly subscribed meaning a month or two wait...

Operation Varsity Airsoft Battle (March 08 by PBI)
Hi Guys Though I’d share with you some photos from the fist ‘Poor Bloody Infantry’ Airsoft Re-enactment battle. We decided to try and refight some skirmishes from Operation Varsity where the Ox and Bucks LI faced the German 84th Infantry Division and 7th Fallschirmjäger. Unlike other previous battle...
