Re: Schuster.ru - experiences?
Have ordered from there three times, service was very good, orders arrived straight to door. Bank transfer was through a Latvian bank and went without a hitch through OPs internet service.

Re: Suomi...new/old topic
The Swedish style 36 round stick is a post-war thing, the guns had to be modified to accept them. An original untouched example would be more valuable. Of course, might just have to do with tolerances in your case.

Re: Other outfits-impressions??
You also ought to change your spats the other way around, you don't want to trip on the hooks getting stuck together or on the laces

Re: Ammo pouches
As a curiosity, it might be worth noting that there was indeed at least one type of purpose-made magazine holder made, a wooden case with belt loops for 50 round stick mags. That didn't exactly work out too well : ) I very much doubt that MP/40 pouches would accommodate 50 round sticks for Suomi, so...

Re: Photoshoot: Algerian War 1955-56
Really nice photos depicting a very interesting period, both historically and equipment-wise : ) Do you have any recommendations on good reference books or sites regarding the gear? Would be interesting to look at : )

Re: Suomi - range and accuracy
It's hard to give any concrete numbers for the effective range, but I'm fairly sure it was somewhat longer than on those mentioned. Firstly the weapon is mechanically very accurate for a submachine gun, and more importantly the fins started to load their submachine gun ammo much hotter than pistol r...

Re: Red Orchestra 2
After a few patches and finging a good gaming group for this I have found the game quite fun, even though the bugs are still very much a problem. Regarding my earlier statement about maps, I have found out the game has a map based on the Stalingrad granary, a massive building making a very interesti...

Re: Red Orchestra 2
Along with the updates, I'm really looking forward to mods, as I think the basic gameplay seems quite good

Re: Red Orchestra 2
So, it's out now, and I have to say I'm sorely disappointed. The basic gameplay is sound, fixing many problems present in the original, but the game runs quite sloppily and is quite buggy. The maps I have so far seen have been decent, though not particularly imaginative. Weapon functionality is grea...

You'll want to change the plastic buttons too anyway, so doesn't really matter which of current models you get : )
