well didnt see any other groups eccept the spaniards behind us ............who didnt really say hi :cry: Hi Ies, I was the only spanish gebirgsjäger and I DID SAY "HI". I've been talking with Andy a few times and I even invited him to come (with every one that wanted) to have a drink in our display...

We were using hob-nailed boots. To be honest, they where quite easy to wear. Even on rock, they had a good adherence. We didn't have to do difficult climbing. We'll test them an other time :D
The rest of the equipment was all periode also!

When I'm back from the War & Peace Show, I'll try to sumerize the equipment tht we used and what could be changed in order to carry less weight.
Patrick: if you get someone yo do the 2-pockets annoraks, we're interested also!

thank you very much for this unique event! Discovering the Alps, with Nico and you, in fully periode equipment, is something that I'll keep in my memory for ever!
I'll soon post a little resum of the timing, altitudes, dificulties, and so on.

Excelent job, Bergführer!
Refeerening to Franz photo, the windblusen shown, look quite similar than the snow smock of the brits. You can find it at SOF. I got it and, despite it is a bit too thick, it looks good.
