I know it's still half a year away, but starting 2015, what annual events or new events can one expect to take place in the UK for 2015? YWE, W&P, Victory are well known to me, but what about early 2015? Especially during Spring.

What exactly do you intend to do? Officers were issued with silver buttons, any other buttons would have been the regular buttons that were issued to the troops and the officer took them from the quartermaster.

Having the pea dot tunic doesn't mean much here, if you already had the tunic, trousers, belt buckle, papers etc all geared up for SS, then it would be a different story. Not trying to puncture the buble, just letting you know. I would seriously suggest you go down the more "neutral" road ...

I'm talking more about the face, most soldiers weren't that dirty as you'd think, the dirty pictures are often taken just AFTER a fight, where one gets dirty...then washes when they get the chance. In a situation where disease, sickness and bugs can mean death, you do anything you can to avoid risks...

I wouldn't go for that look yet, cleanliness was important in the German army until the end.

Open up a shop to sell some junk, many "Volksturm" seem to be doing that as many cannot stand the idea of 10-20 years with the "insert your favourite name for your wife here".
