Found him.
Walter Liebing, Major, Fhr. Fallschirmjager Regiment 23. As far as I know, there were no Knights Cross winners in the FD.

Re: Field Division Tunic
If you want an FD smock, especially if you are doing the Luftwaffe controlled period, Splinter B is the only option. Not sure who is making them nowdays. Mine is a Spearhead repro made about 5 years ago. I believe Barry Lyndon was making them but I don't know if he still is.

Re: Tan and Water Field Division smocks
Interested Imme, was unaware the M44 in Feldblau existed but as you say something for another thread. Out of interest, do you have the photo of the tan and water smock or the link to where it might be? I've never seen it and am keen to see it.

Field Division UK
Been thinking, is there any interest in setting up a field division group in the UK? I used to be involved in a group about 3-4 years ago, which became defunct after a couple of events. It was set up as a sideshow group for members with other portrayals (my main one being Grossdeutschland). So anyon...

Re: Tan and Water Field Division smocks
Yeah I used to own a repro tan and water FD smock many years ago when I first started the impression, which I later sold and upgraded to a Splinter B one. I have a theory about these smocks, which could just be that. Does anyone know when the Tan and Water jumpsmock appeared? My theory is that when ...

Tan and Water Field Division smocks
I've seen these smocks being sold by many dealers over the years along with the incorrect Splinter A models. My question is, does anyone know if these ever existed and if so, to what extent they were issued? I've never seen an original picture depicting this camo being worn in by Field Division troo...

Re: Field Division Tunic
You might be right Mikkel, its hard to tell either way. I always thought it was the silver gilt collar tabs but looking again I'm unsure. Unsure about his Waffenfarbe, looks pretty dark, maybe dark green, blue or black. I'm unsure about the selection of officers for these divisions once the Army too...

Re: Field Division Tunic
If you are portraying an officer in a late war Heer controlled Field Division formation, the uniform you need is a standard Heer officer uniform with a Splinter B tunic. When the Field Divisions were taken over by the Heer in 1943, the Luftwaffe withdrew all its officers and valuable personnel from ...

Re: Propagandakompanie at Victory show 2012
Maybe able to help you Botty. I'll probably be taking snaps with my Voigtlander Bessa and or Zeiss Necker (that needs a slight repair), so I'm interested in the nighttime darkroom facilities to devolep pictures on site and as long as I can keep the negatives after the event is done, I don't mind the...

Re: New Member !!!
Jez I wouldn't use original kit for re-enacting unless you have to. I used to use some bits when I first started out and its really heartbreaking when they get ripped, torn or broken. There is a great deal of repro WW1 German items appearing on the UK market and its cheaper than its ever been before...

You're only jealous PD because I didn't invite you to join me. I've very selective about who I jump in puddles and scare ducks with, don't you know?Hoffman Grink wrote:Don't Danny! The only thing Martin jumps are puddles.
And all the other ducks are nervous too.
