Seen a History channel type programme recently about WW2 and the Polizei had one of those "fantasy Halt Polizei" wands.
Could it be a brief pre-war thing?

Not got a wool tunic from Gavin, RAU or any others mentioned, I'm not in a position to comment on them. But I will say, if it's a cheap and cheerful knockabout denim/hbt,(class it how you want) tunic then Hikishop is well worth the measly few quid it costs. It's maybe not the best material for the p...

My last k98 came from wwa, true, the bolt doesn't match but all the other numbers are the same and the only other stamp apart from the waffen ampt ones is from the proof house.
Decent enough rifle for displaying.

Forgetting about colour for a moment, be aware that there are messtins manufactured by the Polish and red armies that look identical.
Check the stampings.

It's easy to make the D loops. buy some old British webbing 37patt. cross straps, buy a couple of D rings, cut the right amount of length from the webbing, stitch them or rivet them onto the D rings.
