Re: suitable costume for wartime events in uk?

Got to admit I`ve done P.O.W at times. I was lucky to get hold of an original pair of pow overalls. M43 with no insignia & low boots. Job done !
The overalls in question are a plain green colour & stamped "A gift from the American red cross".

Re: German sniper badge was it worn ?

Agreed. From what I understand the badge wasn`t widely worn in the field. You did not want to be recognised as a sniper if captured.

Importing R.I.F

Can any one help me on this... I`m looking at purchasing an R.I.F from Spain into the UK. As I understand It, as a bona fide Re-enactor I am allowed to as I belong to a group & can provide the relevant insurance details. Naturally the item in question will be used at permitted events only. Is th...

I believe the Items where targeted due to the value. Plenty of other stuff available in there. Funny how these items went & other stuff had to be moved in order to access some of them. :?

Excellent service

Just received my NCO wool peak crusher cap from Chris today.
I`d like to say the delivery was very fast, the cap itself is amazing and the insignia is great too - No faults whatsoever.
A big thank you to the man. Top class stuff !!

The answer is simple..... Type 1 smocks did not have the lower pockets of the later type 2. The smocks were rolled up to gain better access to the tunic pockets !
