Re: SMW Plane tree zelts
No opinions? Looks like I have to try myself. I want to add something about the SMW zelts. I have built a tent from original and repro zelts and the repros from SMW are performing good! There was a bit of rain and the puddle was the same on the original and the repro (I should try to build my tent p...

Re: WHO MAKES A GOOD REPRO WINDJACKE?
Does anybody know the Gebirgsjaeger WIndjacke from rbnr? I cant find it in the shop of their website, but find it by google: "rbnr militaria wind jacket" Any good? For 239 Euros I would expect something really good! I am happy to spend the money, if its a good one. Any opinions? I am after...

Re: SMW Plane tree zelts
It is possible to build a tent with 12 zelts, you have a normal tent as the roof and you use 8 zelts for the wall (for the wall you button them up with one zelt standing on the long side, the next one standing on the tip) I have seen them sometimes on shows. So the hight of the wall is the hight of ...

Re: SMW Plane tree zelts
I think the tent from 16 Zeltbahns is the one looking like a hugh pyramid. What I am thinking about is 15 Zeltbahns and it looks a bit like a German Pfadfinder Jurte (Google: "Jurte Pfadfinder") but without a chimney section on top. The Pfadfinder Zeltbahn is larger than the WW2 Zeltbahn a...

Re: SMW Plane tree zelts
SMW has several different plane tree zelts now, I have ordered a few. Nice! Buttons and buttonholes are slightly better on their oak zelts, but all in all really nice : - ) I have thought of building a tent from 15 zeltbahns: Take 5 zelts and button them up similar to a normal tent with 4 sheets. Th...

Re: SS M42 tunic
I would go for Pantherstore. He is not doing the whole range of tunics, just the M42. I have a M41 tunic from him (I have asked him for a M41) and it is good in material and craftsmanship. There were a few problems with the collar, but he has corrected that. If you prefer the M43, just ask him. I al...

Chinos
It might be a bit tasteless, but I am thinking for a pair of chinos for normal life. Who is doing good quality chinos US WW2? I dont want to buy thatpriceglory, because my British khaki trousers from there are made of material which reminds me of a handkerchief. Does anybody know a good supplier? I ...

SMW Plane tree zelts
At last: Plane tree zelts! I have 3 other zelts from SMWholesale, the print is great but the material is thin. Has anybody got a plane tree zelt from SMW already and can comment on material (better quality than the other ones on his website?) and colours? (the colours on the website seem rather brow...

Re: Drillichanzug tunic
Panther! I have the trousers and they are marvelous! They did shrink with the first wash, so make sure you order a few centimeters longer. The material is really robust, not the t-shirt quality you get from china. I wear them in normal life and love them.

Re: Janke M44 Tunic
Well, I think I have given a fair critic about my tunic, but the lining is not "pink". It is very shiny, thats why it looks different on the pictures than in reality. I have no problem with the colour of the lining. Quality of material, I have mentioned that, I would rather have a material...

Re: Janke M44 Tunic
... and another 2 images. I am reenacting and need a tunic in my size. I think the Janke M44 really is the best on the market (material, cut, craftsmanship) and if I have worn it out, I will sell it on a large online auction website as original ; - )

Re: Janke M44 Tunic
I have got a Janke M44 tunic. The short tunic in the late war brown (mine is the colour of dried mustard) I can do pictures, but will take some time. The quality of the material is very good for late war, perhaps a bit too good for the time. Craftsmanship is great! Very nice to wear in normal life, ...
