Re: most realistic looking reenactment photo
What is good about the group that used the La Gleize tiger as Tiger 222 at Diedenberg is the attention to detail, the props added to the tank, the tank crew, the grenadiers on the front glacis. Shame they have packed up.

Re: Stamping EK disks
Well, you could look at originals and see how they stamped them.
or
You could try putting ink on the letter stamps first then gently pressing them onto the blank disk to act as a guide then bash the blighters down over the top?

Re: SS-GB
A film adaptation of Len Deightons excellent novel SS-GB was long overdue and I am enjoying watching the BBC series. But my goodness, where are they getting their uniform advice from? The leading baddie SS Standartenfuhrer Dr Huth appears to be wearing an Iron Cross 1st class in place of a Knights ...

Actually those tags were issued to civilians working there. It isn't a military tag.peiper1944 wrote:Here is a tag from a Luftwaffe soldier serving at a Munitions Lager

Bill seldom visits as his energies are focussed on real world activities and not the petty arguments and sniping he endures from Germans opposed to his legitimate activities with museums and historical projects. However - if you peruse some of the less "spoiled" threads concerning re-enac...

Re: Museumsprojekt Heimat e.V.
Hello Bill,
Was trying to get the definitive answer on what is and isn't allowed as far a reenacting German units in Germany. Are there issues with wearing siegrunes, swastika flag waving? Tried to ask in another thread but no one appeared to know the answer!
You seem to be best person to ask!

Re: Unit transfers
OK, question: How common were unit transfers before the war started. I'm not just talking about from infantry to infantry. I'm talking about something more precise such as Luftwaffe to Gebirgsjäger. How plausible does this sound: Luftwaffe air crew radio operator who served in the Condor legion who...
