Cheers Harold. I'll have a go at that with the standard sling I have.

The Carbine or, I think this is right, tankers rifle sling fittings are the same as Portugese K98. Sling underneath instead of to the side.

That right do you know?

Don't know where to start with this but here goes.

Were there any signs for the likes of WH Quartermaster Stores/stores/ammo dump/laundry/butchers/motor pool. Know what I mean?.
