Re: Hands Up

I've been making good use of my leather deck jacket...as I have for the past winters since I bought it. It's been cold enough out, here on the U.S. North East Coast right now to make use of the leather trousers too...but I only wear those when I have to be out shoveling.

Re: What do your Family think of reenacting?

Since I really don't have a family in the 'accepted sense' of the word, and am an only child...

...I don't hear anything.

I just do my own thing - both with the U-Boat stuff and the vintage/retro living.

Cruiser: However, then things turned a bit sinister, every forum has a hidden, only open to a chosen few area, and this forum was no different (and yes, for a short spell through an admin error I was able to saunter in there and have a nosey, and no, not to post and give myself away) the main mover...

Re: New DH-style reenactors' watches: Your suggestions needed.

That's a very nice watch. I'm glad this thread is here because my repro. civilian style pocket watch happened to die recently and I've been looking around for a replacement that can withstand 'abuse/heavy wear' - as I simply 'wear' things heavily. Right now I do have an eye on this civilian pocket w...

I've read the post several times and, quite frankly, I don't quite understand things either. :?

Re: Gebirgsjäger - "A lttle less Nazi"?

I really can't see the Grey Wolves being a big part of the 'partie faithful' - because, even though Doenitz was a member of the party - he stood up to Hitler - when Hitler wanted shipwrecked survivors killed - and told him no. Hitler backed down. I had ordered a book entitled: Doenitz at Nuremburg: ...

Archive.org - films

I happened to be at the library not too long ago and had an interesting chat with someone who told me about this site (some of you may know about it already). I found some interesting films under the search using "das boot": http://www.archive.org/search.php?query=das%20boot%20AND%20mediat...

Re: WWII Weekend - Reading, PA (June 2010)

Hey :) Sorry for the late reply - I don't have direct access. LoL...Oh yeah, the French Village. Will try to. You can't miss me...as I'm probably going to be one of the few, maybe only one, in KM. My friend will probably be wearing her DRK Afrika uniform and perhaps going as Ilse Schult...

Re: Some of my collected items

Managed to get something I've been waiting since Dec. to get: I paid only a bit over $23 for it (it must have had a small discount as it was marked for $24). The reasons why I was so determined to pick this item up, is not only the history behind it, but if you look either on eBay or various German ...
