I would say the first and third photos are K98a and the second photo is a Gew98 ? WW1 surplus

When did FGs stop wearing the sleeve eagle and cuff title ? Would they be used on the M43 tunic or not so much? I havent seen to many pictures of FGs wearing the M43, just curious. Thanks

k98 sling
Any recommendations on how to age a new K98 sling. Ive had someone suggest soaking it in motor oil but that doesnt seem to safe to me.

I have a question. I will have the rank of Obergefreiter, would the FG sleeve patch stay in the same place or does it get moved to make room for the chevron? Plus how much space should be between the two? Thanks

Field Police ranks
Just a quick question. Ive noticed in photos and from what ive read that most field police were at least NCOs. What was the most common rank of the FG? Plus could a no rank Private join the FG? Any info would help. Thanks
