Yes, I know what kind of badge should be worn, but I haven't seen any picture evidence that would show it was widely used. Only pictures of officers using the badges.

Old topic but why start a new one? Has anyone seen pictures of the rank badge in use on lower ranks (ie. Unteroffizier) on a winter parka? Only pics I have seen are officers wearing them.

Feldman, I would suggest that you would use couple of utility strapts, place them together and tie the canteen strap to them. After that, place the canteen inside the parka to hang it from your neck. I have founded the parka set quite warm during the winters, even on -30 celcius. It's great if you are stationary, but when you move, ah, it makes you sweat like a pig (attleast they did to me) I have the sturm jacket and chinese trousers.
