"Arrows of Lagus" patch. Who in the division wore it?
I'm doing research for two future impressions (2.Pioneeri and Jager Brigade) attached to the Lagus Division in 1944. I can't find any info on whether or not anyone but tank crewmen wore the arrows of Lagus patch. So I'll pose the question: was this patch worn by any/all non-armored units attached to...

Re: Finnish uniforms
Let me know if you get stuck with the payment transfer...it may be the motivation I need to order a cap for myself if I also haev them send yours to me. Shipping from the UK to the USA for is not that high - it may even work out as the cheaper option for both of us (given their 20 € P&P flat-ra...

Re: Finnish uniforms
I note Hiki seems to have a more appropriate cap but do not intend to purchase that item. Any particular reason you wouldn't buy one? I'm having second thoughts now that I'm able to view the Hiki page. http://www.hikishop.com/ww2-finnish-em-soldier-field-cap-with-badge-100-accurate-repro-p-491.html...

Re: Finnish uniforms
I'd love one of the new German made M/36 caps from Varusteleka too, but at 40 € ea. & 20 € P&P they're a little pricey. My plan was to order one with an original breadbag from their re-enactors section, until I corresponded with a representative and found out the breadbags are all 1968 vint...

http://stores.ebay.com/hikishop/WWII-Finnish-/_i.html?_fsub=1718734010 Hi the discussion about Hiki uniforms above are a few years old now. Can anyone comment on the quality of M36 they are currently selling? I'm still waiting on mine. But the straight leg stone grey trousers they sell are decent. ...

I'm pretty happy with it. Completely worth it to hold out and find someone who could "do it right" -- or at least get pretty close!Hennig wrote:

I'd be interested in purchasing a set if you decide to print them.

Re: Traffic wand
Here is a pic of me with a repro traffic wand I got from a DIY source. The gentleman took a Post-war wand and applied "reflective" paint. There are subtle differences between this and the real deal that can be spotted upon close inspection...but from a couple feet away, it looks pretty clo...

I'm a 40 year old re-enactor from the United States. I've been doing WWII USGI since 2003, and Wehrmacht/Heer since 2010. As I am too old to do the infantry bit anymore, I'm concentrating on building a Feldgendarmerie impression, as I feel this aspect of the German army is woefully underrepresented ...
