Re: The amazing story of Lauri Törni

I totally agree with you on that saddler, the film industry has been quite known to take some great historical characters and events just to twist, botch, fantasize etc. just to apply them to mainstream, which is extremely sad most times. But I still hold true on the fact that if a decent director, ...

Re: range finding on 6x30 dienstglas

Much thanks jooooonas! found the full film this morning. So I divide 1.70 m (average mans height for then I presume) by how many hash marks, in this case .5, and than multiply by 1000?

formula: 1.70 / 0.5 x 1000

Sounds reasonable :)

Appreciate your help mien herr!

Re: Using period film and movie cameras

Good on ya for trying for a kriegsberichter impression Kurt_Eggers! Always thought that was a very cool role to do. For my uneducated 2 cents, I think as a kriegsberichter you'd have much more common/popular/readily available cameras and movie makers (leicas, etc.), especially if you were issued you...

Re: Show us you!

The SS were supplied numerous amounts of Italian camo, from trousers, smocks and combi's to zeltbahns helmet covers. The 12th certainly used alot of it as well, from Normandie onwards... The Germans sure put to use all the italian camo they got! here is an example photo.

thats my two cents
