Howdy
Here's a pair that are similar to some I bought,
in my humble opinion look more authentic than
the embroidered other early type you see around,
as you can see they have been mounted on the
early War green backing and are £9.95 from
Epic Militaria. (see pic below)

Re: Pea Dot Uniform
My advice take it or leave it is first and foremost join a group, as I said earlier, if this is not possible and you are still sticking to an SS portrayal get some ref books that is always the best thing and if you still want to do your 12th impression follow what is being worn in the ref books, the...

Re: Pea Dot Uniform
I was about to say but Soest already mentioned it,
join a group first before worrying about what kit
to buy, they will point you in the right direction
and give you a list of requirements plus suppliers,
some groups like everyone to buy the same gear,
that is what you need to do first

Re: New Midland based SS group possibilities
A final "update" to the group, because of certain small events not allowing SS portrayment we decided to do a small "generic" Wehrmacht Aufklarungs Unit along with our SS Frundsberg and Allied portrayals basically depending on which event we will attend or any request from organi...

Re: watertight gas can?
Sorry Pyotr for the overlong explanation, I didn't expect to be cross examined lol especially by another " amature historian" as we all are on here, all we can do is pass on information we ourselves have read that does not make people the "expert" they think they are, I have bloc...

Re: watertight gas can?
Well, since gasmask canisters are stamped prior to painting it should either have paint in the stamp or be rusty.. Next to that stamping in the lid would need the can to come apart, first. Gasmask canisters are stamped at the factory. A lot of mg34's where made up to the end of the war since lots o...

''You haven't read my comments properly, I didn't say they were for the KM only I said they were originally intended for that purpose then later mid War onwards the rubber seals were removed then the tins were issued to ALL Units en-masse'' So my 1945 dated one was produced for the Kriegsmarine in ...

I disagree there as well but im not going
to get dragged into another debate, as far

and Panzer crews
