If you haven't got any yet I got mine from www.chelmsfordmilitaria.com. I've used them a few times with no problems.

Re: Victory Show picture search
Herr, Krieg J, If you take a look on www.mackaill.com there is a gallery of different photos including, I believe, some of you and your group around and in a 251. Haven't found any of you marshalling. If I do I'll let you know. I got his card as he took my photo. I'm on the 4th page of photo's. Rega...

Re: tims tags?
Tims Tags produces dog tags, German, US etc with details stamped on. The discs are quite shiny like the ones sold by other vendors like soldier of Fortune. The chap referred to by Pepperpot is from Germany and trades under the name of "Propagandakompanie". He produces zinc dog tags using t...

Re: Training weekend
Mate, If you have a question re an SBG event you're better emailing Andy C directly. The SBG doesn't publish details of training weekends on here. Details will be sent out in a group email. As for your question it may be possible to sleep in a zelt tent if you have one otherwise take a small tent or...

9 SS Panzer Div
Just a quick point on your first photo mate. The gaiter on your left leg is visible. You have the fastening straps on the inside of your leg. they should be on the outside. Straps point to the rear as you have. You just need to swap the gaiters over.
Cheers

Re: did ss feldgendarmerie wear cuff titles on their great c
I can't say a definite yea or nay as I have no evidence but I have seen photo's of SS troops in greatcoats which vary. Some have no badges but the sleeve eagle and others are fully badged with runes, cuff title etc. From that I would think it may be possible but can't say for sure.

I believe I'm right in saying helmets, mess tins, canteens etc were painted rather than parkerised.

Re: Fury Film Release (UK) - 22/10/2014
I went to see it last night. As a historically accurate representation of the later stages of World War 2 in Europe that's how Hollywood would have won. It's a film made by Americans for the mass American market so it wasn't going to be anything else. As films go I thought it was well made. As an ex...

Going by the list of traders on the W&P website that would be yes. Trades under the name of Propagandakompanie if I remember correctly.

Re: Pea Dot Uniform
I did read on a groups website (Not sure, could have been Die Erste Zug) a recollection of a veteran who served in the later part of the war. He recalled being disappointed with being issued low boots as I think it was his older brother had marching boots which he thought looked much smarter His com...

Re: Pea Dot Uniform
Hello, What I would suggest is do your research, find a photo of guy's from the unit with a look that you like and base your uniform on that. See how they wear the uniform and carry their equipment, copy that as close as you can and you can't go far wrong. I would think you have limited funds so don...

It certainly isn't as snug as mine. Going by photo's of the real thing it does seem too large to me.

Re: Some help from SBG members
Welcome to the group. To give a little more detail to what John said. 1. The groups preferred look for combat is camouflage smock and field grey uniform. The preferred smock is Planetree and can be either first pattern with the slits in the front or second pattern with the pockets. I wouldn't invest...
