His website goes down every now and then. Scary and quite annoying but he always delivers. Hope its up again soon.

Reusing Gebirg hobnails
Got a pair of throw away Swiss Gebirg boots with intact hobnails that I'm going to try to remove and transplant to another pair of boots in good condition. Has anyone done this before? I'm finding it very tough to remove the hobs in one piece. Any tips?

Re: MOB Romande Swiss Reenactment Group
Damn, I wish you'd been active when I was living in Zürich up until a couple of years ago. Most of the action I got while there I had to insert myself into with a feeling of not really being wanted there as a non-British reenactor...

Thanks Oberleutnant, looks like they only sell the Feldgendarmerie gorget but they have many cool things that I'm interested in!

Re: Gavinmilitaria, any good??
I sent Gavin my measurements and my new tunic fits like a glove. He's not nearly as good at communication as say Hiki, Barry Lyndon or Spearhead but gets the job done. I felt a bit uneasy when my emails went unanswered for several days but in the end the tunic came in within a reasonable time frame,...
Re: WW2 Sale
I was looking at some of there stuff on the site too and the pictures do present the uniforms really well, however a quick search highlights all the problems people are having with the gear on there. Hopefully this thread will stop others making costly mistakes and steer people towards the more res...
WW2 Sale
I've had a horrible experience buying a tunic from this Chinese shop: http://www.ww2sale.com/ The item was poorly made, no insignia were sewn on as promised and they refused to issue a refund want me to fix it, etc. BEWARE and stay clear of these crooks! Its on me for ordering Chinese garbage... My ...

Re: Dismal service: By the Sword
Needed some cheap hat, etc. with no insignias for a period mountaineering photo shoot. Of course I would't buy or use any of their stuff for reenacting. But no more that's for sure...
