Re: Everything you possibly need or want. (Almost!) ;-)

Yep, those are them. Sorry, haven't a clue as to their fitting or not. With the price of postage being what it is, and the downturn of the GBP to the USD, I wouldn't recommend a buy unless you are willing to add to your loaner gear stockpile. While they are quite nice, and corrosion free, personal h...

Re: Everything you possibly need or want. (Almost!) ;-)

I have a pair of "5" and a loose "7". I also have and did not yet list the smaller pair that mount at the ball of the foot size "1". Here is something else you might like, a complete set of paper buttons for the pullover. https://www.flickr.com/photos/corvettek225/with/...

Everything you possibly need or want. (Almost!) ;-)

After years of collecting and no reenacting to show for it, I am letting go. I want for someone else to get some joy of the pieces rather than they be tucked away in boxes at my house. I enjoy owning them, but can't display/use them. Far too many items to post individual pictures. I will post some g...

Re: Gebirgsjägers in knochensack?

I can only recall ever seeing pictures of one Gebirgsjäger jumper preparing for the Wesserubung jump, his smock was a green step in model with standard LW breast eagle and no other insignia. His jump helmet was also standard LW issue, and I am wanting to say that it had the LW eagle decal present......

Re: Luftwaffe Breadbags?

SplinterA At The Front had listed a blurb in recent months [that is now missing from their "What's in the Works" list] that they were working on Luftwaffe field gear such as the rucksack. While it is only my personal hunch, I wouldn't be shocked that in the future they do produce some LW b...

Re: Spearhead Uniforms

"Don't do it", would be my recommendation. Instead, use Schipperfabrik. http://schipperfabrik.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=117_120_122&products_id=232 Paul is a WWI reenactor (and a veteran), and his business is WWI at its core. While some items are not without ...

labrador,

Thanks for sharing the pictures. The Pacific theater rarely makes reenacting news and it is a refreshing sight to see. Keep it up! 8)

Re: Early shoulderboards

Servus Bergkameraden, GD43 makes very high quality shoulderboards, sadly they do not offer chain-stiched lettering. They only do machine-embroidery; suitable for some requirements (GD Divsison , etc.), but not so for pre-war GJR numbers. If you have the skills or access to doing the work yourself, I...

Yes the Ostfront Wallet is quite nice.

I have recently thought of using one for day-to-day living. That reminds me, Father's day here in the US is just a few months away.... 8)

Re: Load out questions

No, not a US Army term by any stretch of the imagination. Airsoft term only. Terms commonly used: TA-50; gear; fieldgear; battle rattle; full-battle rattle. There are also many other slang terms for the components as well. I went to Basic Combat Training (BCT) in 1988 and am a Regular Army Soldier t...
