Badge I'd

In a photo I have seen,of a dead german soldier in Berlin.The one with two red army soldiers running past.The dead german has a badge on his upper left arm,which looks like a shovel head,light in colour with what appears to be either 185 or 165 in the middle.Would this be a Todt member or labour service. Anybody know what this badge is.

Yeah,that's the one.Would the RAD badge be the area of Berlin he's from or unit/company etc.I assume it was Everyman to the front in the final battle,but did RAD members fight as combat soldiers as the dead german seems to have a couple of medal ribbons on his chest.

I cant see what it says below the number, there should be roman numeral between I and XL which will denote which area/district he belongs to. The actual number on the sleeve appears to be 185 which is coming up as Niedersachen-Ost

Ref the ribbons, he was possible attached to the wehrmacht for a period of time.

Thanks for the info in regards to this, I was always curious about the dead fella,been to Berlin a couple of times and going back in April,so just wondered about the photo.
