Military or Police Dog Collar and Lead info needed
Does anyone have information or images of german military or police issue dog leads and collars, please? I've searched like a bastard, but "german", "WWII" and "dog" bring up nothing but pages on erkennungsmarke by daft twats who call them dog tags

pre war and wartime images, key words to use on the Bundesarchive search engine are Hundeausbildung, Polizeihunden ausbildung etc

Those are good, thank you chaps. I'll go trawl the bundesarchive with those keywords
Re: Military or Police Dog Collar and Lead info needed
From what I can see, the lead seems to be very like the multi-length police training leads:

Looks like a standard lead, here in use with a DDR cocker spaniel

I need to get me one of those post-war leads, if only for the scissor fitting on the end

Thanks for the link to the Dog Handler site, Cam. Tried to PM you, but it wouldn't let me

On wehrmacht awards.com on their wehrmacht equipment forum on page 2 it shows an original guard dog harness and lead.

I wish none but those who desire to be actively engaged".

Thanks, John. I'd already seen those. The clip in the centre is identical on the post-war lead. Eyes will have to be kept open

I found that photo. I'm glad you posted this as I'll be looking for some gear for my boys:
