If.8 im gelande (tarnung unt handhabung)
The If.8 (of infanteriefahrzeug ausf.8 ) was especially used to bring ammunition and supplies to the front.
They were connected 2 by 2 and horse drawn.
A few kilometers before reaching the front (destination), the horses were disconnected and brought back to a safe central area.
The carts were disconnected from the horse and pullbar was installed.
Break, the horses were taken care of, before going back to the safe central area.

ACHTUNG !!!! JABO!!!!
The main theat for these horse drawn units were the air attacks.
Therefor the carts and uniforms were foreseen with camouflage as much as possible

After the threat, the journey was continued

@ sheik al dinges:
We are with a small group of persons (more than 3 ) who are more interested in the hystorical aspect, instead of the filmaspect.
We have the correct uniforms and equippement and so we trie to do something compleet different.
70% of the German units were horse drawn.
We use ower spair time to make those litle photo articles from gatherd information.
1 photo speeks 1000 words
You see many vehicles (AFV) on events, This is the other side of the German army.
ps: remember this one?: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=6257&st=0&sk=t&sd=a There are more than 3

Incredible photographs, but I'd still like to know why you never see the other members of your group on your photographs. I know your group, it's huge!
