Dead Man's Corner - Normandy
Re: Dead Man's Corner - Normandy
Not too much, the heavy work was done with a digger just the finishing off with entrenching tools and shovels, the guys did make some very good steps into the CP. Credit must go to Steve Middleton who researched and planned the defenses and the French guy (name?) who operated the digger.
Hanging up my Knochensack for now, it's been a good war!

Re: Dead Man's Corner - Normandy
On behalf of myself , Joe and all the men in Battlegroupsouth I would like to thank Manny , Darren and all the FJ guys who did a super job at "DMC" . This was one of the best events I have ever attended , full credit guys , you can be proud of what you have achieved . This morning I spoke to Alex , one of the four FJ vets who was at "DMC" and he is still talking about the display .Surely this speaks for itself .
Thanks also for looking after our men that stayed on with ye , especially since their JU52 dropped their rations else where .
I know I have said this before and I will say it again , when a reenactment group put on a good display there is nothing better , the FJ guys at "DMC" did just this and in doing so did the reenactment community proud .
It will be a honour to battle with you guys any time and remember my pub doors are always open to you , ha ha .
