seems its now acceptable to call someones impression, laughable and describe them and total joke on the other forum and i've been told i should step back and take a good look at myself for what i choose to portray.

Take cheer Tanaka, don't let them grind you down. I no longer subscribe to this forum as I didn't like the way it was being run by the "thought police" who seem to think they can get away with this sort of thing. Just contact the site owner, whoever that is nowadays, and tell them you're not happy. If you don't get an apology.................vote with your feet!
im saddened that
tanaka im saddened that some narrow minded people think that what you do has little value , but as you know there are idiots every where not just in real life but in re-enactment too , ignore them and carry on with the good job you do .

Its a shame when people have to openly attack a persons re-enacting impression. We all try very hard to get our impressions as authentic as possible, but under the circumstances (not actually being in the 40's) it isn't always possible to be 100% spot on. But from what I've seen of the displays put on each year at all the re-enactment events, they have been of a very high standard.
It isn't fair to knock a persons impression, but this is regularly done on the other forum. Of course, we do get the odd "farby" thread though.
Tanaka, you have come up with a pretty unique impression. Unless a person is actually Japanese, the impression can't be 100% spot on. But you have put alot of effort into it, so don't let those biggotted people get to you. The Japanese impressions are a rare thing for MOPs and re-enactors alike to see.
