Duncannon military show Ireland

Post by rommel »

We would like to once again announce that the Duncannon Military show in Wexford Ireland will go ahead this year >The show seems to have grown enormously in the last few years with a huge following from Axis clubs .Kompanie 1 members came over last year in good number and enjoyed themselves and we would welcome any other groups from the UK again this year . Last year saw a great German SS display of vehicles and weapons , 3 R75 combos , 3 Zundapp combos , 2 Kubels , 1 opel blitz and a half track and 2 cm flak in tow . After each day at the end of closing we go out on a run in the vehicles and usually stop off for a pint around the coast . The local village is transfromed for the weekend and the reception is fantastic both by the locals and all concerned . Camping space is available and some large barrack rooms withinthe fort is also available for groups . Bring your camp bed . http://www.waterfordmilitary.com for some photos as to the idea of location and http://www.battlegroupsouth.com for more pics of Duncannon 06 . Location is about 25 miles from Rosslare port and we will again this year try for discount rates for anyone travelling from Uk over .All welcom from all periods and all sides allied or axis . We dont have any reservations as to weather a club is SS , SAS , redcoats Gestapo , viet cong , taliban , Israeli whatever . Its all re enactment and its all history ... Sick of hearing about events aniti axis or touchy about particular groups . we encourage all and are delighted to welcome all . jjotoole@eircom.net for any help

The AFRA events calendar tries to encompass a wide variety of events - Not just "AFRA" ones (if they even exist!)
We also try to supply some background information and a good location to allow you to get to the venue.
Take a look here
http://www.afra.org.uk/events_calendar.aspx
And explore the events and locations.

We are always happy to add an event - If you are a member you shoudl be able to add an event yourself if you log in..... The AFRA website is a 24/7 portal not JUST a website.
