I am sooo envious !!!!

Glad you all had a great time in St Petersburg, sounds like you had a ball.

Happy to see you have all returned safely home, any new girlfriends Steve, Mick ?

Neil see if you can arrange a Kursk trip with Bair, a Pan European re enactment would be our equivalant of Normandy as PD said above, what a great thing to see and be apart of.

Well done to all.

here is the small film I made with my camera before and after the event including steve and Reich Crispies singing .
That film should have a government health warning.

My sincerest appologies to Steve Martin for ruining his song.
I cite Vodka in my defence.

Forgot to add, a professional film crew was hired to cover the battle. Very 'private Ryan', using hand held and steady cams. They even charged in (wearing snow suits) with the Russian attack.
A free DVD will be coming to me eventually, but will be available for sale by "Biar travel" at Detling. (I will ask Cara to put it on the clubmobile screen at Detling)

Word from Biar is that it's so good they are cutting scences into a TV film they are making!

So now we all look forward to see the dvd :)

I did watch Patriks film from the battle , but he got snow on his dv-camera before the main russian charge , so he missed all the fun with his camera

Just had the Finnish police at my place asking after a British reenactor
The said reenactor was running round a hotel wearing nothing bar a parka and a crusher cap shouting at the ladies look at my 88

1 lady said it looked more like a 3.7cm Pak 35/36 than a 88

Back on the air! (My next new PC is going to be a Mac).

Fantastic trip, enjoyed by everybody bar one, an old-school Soviet who would probably bitch in paradise. The DR and Swedish lads were out of this world, and we in 2nd Guards couldn't have had better company.

Haven't got my own photos developed yet, but the ones posted up so far are great (on one you can almost see Steve Martin's sphincter twitch as 100+ Russians rose up out of the ground and charged! )

The organisation for next year's tour is already underway and I'm being kept up to date by Bair. I'll be taking first bookings for Operation Spark 2008 at this year's Detling, get your name in early to avoid dissapointment!
