Zeltbahn bedding

What are you guys using as far as bedding goes when sleeping in a zelt. From totally period to those that use some modern things, I would like to hear what you use from the ground up.

A greatcoat to lie on. That is all.

Straw, 1 blanket, all the clothes you have if it's cold - if it's very cold leave a parafin lamp burning low to keep the frost off!
(I have done it - boots frozen like iron, zelt sides opening like a door in the morning...)

These boys are hardcore. Being a bit of a poof I sometimes sneak a sleeping bag under a blanket. I'm old!

Straw and a couple of blankets plus a great coat and all your clothes!!, If your 6'2" like me make sure you position the opening of the tent towards the fire because your feet will stick out the end so you will need to keep them warm, and if you want to stay really warm and very historically correct, share your zelt temt with 2 others. (in a non gay way before anyone pipes up!).
