Swiss Border Patrol 1943 - MOB Romande Group

Post by glenn »

Dear all,

Here are some pics from your Swiss neighbours. In 1942, the Swiss army created special units for border patrol and intelligence service. The group MOB Romande http://mobromande.over-blog.ch/ tried to remember these unknown units...

Lmg 25, nice piece of kit, designed by Furrer. Expensive to produce, but reliable, worked on P.08 Luger/Parebellum action, turned on its side.

Would this patrol been part of the Grenswacht ? What would their usual gattungen/sleeve-cuff insignia have been ? Souomi Smgs too.
