If people will buy them by all means. At the moment I'm still experimenting with finishes to see what looks most authentic and lasts.

Well when you have them ready I'll take a SS buckle and a early war silver bebbled Heer buckle ;)

Dark brown will be doable - one of the colours I'm experimenting with.

I was wearing original belts and buckles since I was 16. Now I needed new ones and since the replicas for sale are no good, I am doing them myself. The leather is 3.5 mm thick and I am buying it cut to size (45 mm wide), the hook is from a fleabay shop (MILITANO in Czech Republic) and is the late WW1 pattern, all in all one belt cost me about £22 and 3 hours of work. I am doing the version with the hidden stitching (typical Luftwaffe) as well as with visible stitching. The finished belt i am painting with Fibings Listerine, that gives a thougher surface.
Some in the group are starting to bully me into supplying belts to them as well ; - ) I take that as a compliment!

Currently I am working on Y-Straps, I have the metal parts (most parts are original) apart from the rivets, but I think I have found them now. I am trying to buy a good quality replica (see my thread about Y-Straps) but looks like there is no good leather ones out there.
