I don't own a Lica box, personally i wouldn't pay that much for one, i have seen them go for lower than that,
especially ones with missing items, although i wouldn't buy one for my own portrayal which is of a lowly SS
Grenadier, these sort of items an Officer or NCO would own as they were quite expensive to buy on a soldiers
pay, i will just stick to the razor and soap stick tbh, but each to their own

No probs, as i say its up to you what you buy but as i said before,
you look at your portrayal and in your minds eye you imagine what
sort of person you are trying to be such as was he rich was he an
Officer, what was his background that type of thing then you base
your impression on that, thats what i try to do, be as realistic as
possible.

Sometimes you can buy too much gear, a basic few good necessity
items are best plus a couple of luxury items and thats all you need
basically, don't forget you are portraying somebody in a War where
there were shortages etc.

Good luck with it, Pipes

Im going for a lowly SS EM. From a small rural farming village. Born around 1915..joining the party in 1937..training within 2 replacement units, attending SS school and training and ending up in the SS by 1940. Heydrich Vogt..has a ring to it lol..

Lol thats good...mine is similar, Heinrich Stohler, born 1917 in Kolin, Hamburg, occupation was a dock worker working
at St Pauli Docks in Hamburg, was called up in 1940 and sent to France with the LSSAH Ersatz/replacement Battalion
to replace losses suffered in Poland

Heh,nice...Ill be able to get get two portrayals out of my gear. A regular SS EM,and a WSS Sani. Just change my shoulder boards, and my Sani pouches out for ammo pouches. Im torn between a LAH EM, or 11th SS Gebirgsjager,Reinhardt Heydrich. Who knows. Maybey all three lol..
