Post by mroeding »

Reproduction Communication Station Clock I built in my workshop. It is constructed out of wood, metal and paper with a plastic AAA powered battery clock insert.

Excellent idea and nice result! Comparing an average eBay price with your material cost and building time, how much have you saved if I may ask?

Thank you, the cost of materials was between $20-$25 and the construction time was 2-3 hours. I don't know how much originals cost.

I was going to do the same thing, but gave up when I could not find a good sized clock insert, where did you get yours?

Thanks, also you did a fantastic job, how did you shape the area where the clock face sits?

Thank you, the face is drilled through to hold the clock insert, then the remaining surrounding area is then routed out. The side is drilled on edge.
