About the program: We'll put the official timeline online soon.

Unfortunately we will not be shooting live weapons this time, due to changed athmosphere towards anything that says "bang" in this country and due to recent developments in the neighbourhood where the happening is held. But I believe that we have a great weekend anyway with traditional winter activities and some new tricks.

Pity, I was looking forward to that... But then again, Can't wait to be in Finland, something to do with paying good money to freeze off your balls voluntary. Doesn't get more wreckless then that, but I love it!

Very enjoyable event as always :D

Particularly enjoyed the the evening at the campfire, but does anyone know what the song about the Finnish comrades was called? I believe there was both a German and Finnish version of it...
It is only a problem if you make it a problem

Hi,
would there be a follow-up of the event in 2013? I'd love to go as a Kriegsberichter and try, how would my Leicas cope with the Finnish winter....

In theory there will be an event in winter 2013, in practice nothing has been decided yet.
But a Kriegsberichter is needed for the next event; I'll send you a pm.

"Kauan on kärsitty vilua ja nälkää" (For so long have we suffered from cold and hunger) or "Suomen Kaartin paluumarssi" (The return march of the Finnish Guard) or "Sotilaspoliisikomppanian marssilaulu" (March song of the Military Police Company). It is my military companys march ;)

The song is about Finnish Guard fighting in the Russo-Turkish war in 1877 under the Russian banner. The feats of the Sharpshooter batallion of the Finnish Young Guard earned the title of Old Guard. IT is said that this song was sung when they returned back home, but I doubt it... never the less, this war started the modern military tradition in Finland and the modern Guards Jäger Brigade still commemorated this war and it's events every year.

Don't know the german name though.
