January 1945 - The retreat to Fritsches Haff. Members of the 2nd Kompanie PanzerGrenadier Division GroßDeutschland are withdrawn from the frontline for a few days rest from combat, and are immediately put to work laying mines and explosives to cover the Kompanie’s withdrawal. “Fresh” replacements were sent prior to the retreat, however the barrel of the recruitment force is being scraped, with those who were deemed too old for service now filling the fighting ranks.
