Does anybody know where to locate hardware for reproduction German crates? I am especially interested in the latches.

Bob Lawrence is probably your best bet in that case - I seem to recall he has a couple of types.

Try Blitzmilitaria.com or Blitzbikes.com That's Mike Allen's site I believe he is carrying them and gets them from Bob Lawrence's contact that Feldjager mentioned.

Blitzbikes does have them and he carries various types, but he doesn't show much on his website...you need to contact him. Here's one shot of an equipment box latch that he sells for $10 each:

Protex = postage rip off! They want a £20 min order - and STILL cain you for postage. £36 for 5 latches.... :roll:

B&Q here in the UK for handles. Almost identical to the originals.
I supose, if it aint broke..............

Does anyone have a link to his site?

I am really desperate to find some box handles and BlitzBikes isn't answering their emails, I have been trying for weeks now.
