MP28 leather pouches - reference needed

Post by mario33 »

I'm looking for reference on MP28 magazine pouches, mostly 4-pocket leather ones, with single covering flap.

Planning to use one in the early war impression as 'ersatz' pouches for my MP-38.

Interested in good piccies, www pages or books.

I would be grateful some info on these pouches. Maybe I wrongly identified them... Are these Reichswehr ones for mp28II's 32-box-magazines ?

Mystery solved. Post-war Yugo for Zastava M-57 mp.

Funny though, used in some very famous film as Thompson pouch ;)

www.ima-usa were selling them at one stage. They were a bit knackered though. The correct ones held 3 mags and looked a bit like a WW2 German map case

What Gurowski said is true. They're like the map case, but hold 3 mags.

I saw an original pair on eBay in 2001 ish, and never seen any again!
