WARS

Post by Jon Das Reich »

WW2 Axis Reenactment Society WARS for short came into being in 2002.
We are an affiliation of WW2 Axis Reenactment groups. Our aim is to combine our love of history and collecting militaria, into displaying living history and battle reenactments, to educate and entertain the public about life of an Axis serviceman of WW2.

The groups that make up WARS portray various troops.

WARS is an apolitical society, we do not support racism, intolerance or anyother extreme views, nor do we seek to glorify war or nazi ideology.

This is purely our hobby, not a hiding place for extremist thought.

The aims of WARS are

1. To uniforms, equipment and vehicles of WW2
2. To illiustrate the units of the Axis forces that took part in WW2
3. To promote goodwill between ex-servicemen of all nations
4. Assist charitiable organisations if possible in funding raising.
5. Comply with the laws of England and the United kingdom in respect of firearms, public order and other laws.

At the moment WARS is made up of 10 groups which are as follows

WARS Das Reich
FGR6 green devils of carentan
2/pzAufkl.abt.GD
2kp Pz.Gren.Rgt GD
Herman Goring living history society
Junkerschule Tolz living history society
SS FJR 500/600
ww2 Japanese reenactment assosiation
LW field Division reenactment society
POA reenactment group.

If your group portrays any Axis troops of WW2 and are interested in becoming a member of WARS please feel free to drop us a line. Membership is £10 per member and this covers you for PLI up to £5million cover, an online newsletter if needed. Advertisement via the WARS website. Joint displays at major shows across the UK if wanted and to be apart of an established organisation that caters for UK Axis reenactors.

Paul, that was the Herman Goring group that turned in TK, the LFD boys are around still, but I think they may have split OR there are two groups not sure, just stuff you hear on the grapevine!

Been like it for a while - thought it was a temporary error / holding page.

I think Stevie is building a new one bit by bit though.

Part correct Neil, we have renewed our domain name and have a new host, we are having trouble getting the two together and yes I am making a new website.

Soon as the techy problems have been resolved new site will be up.

When is the WARS site gonna get working? Seems silly it is on a construction page when I want to link to it and big it up!

But best of luck to the Reenactors at FRAU! Great to see that the ladies are not so sidelined anymore!

Basically as Jon said two suppliers.... one for domain and the other for hosting and being allocated the wrong domain name...

The old web site can still be accessed at http://www.wars.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/

Hope to have the problem sorted out soon
