Dear all,
Here is a topic not really famous, not really promoted but however a topic in which our group put efforts to make remember Switzerland called its sons to protect the country during 5 years. During an reenactment event in Vallorbe last weekend we had the opportunity to take these following pictures… some of you could be interested by comparing the Swiss and German equipment, an usual debate for us !
There is NO copy/repro here... everything original (but the guys...)

All the best,
Tschusss

Great stuff..the uniforms are similar in a lot of ways. The main question for me is,where are you getting the boots with irons, and about how much in u.s.d?

This is a piece of history you don't hear much about! Looks very nice and interesting. The K31 rifle looks really good and I must say I never seen it before but after some light reading I understand it's a very good rifle
Keep up the good work lads!

Excellent impressions as always , a very interesting subject . I understand all the uniforms are original items ?
RZM - the nailed boots are Swiss army boots , long used as alternatives to GJ boots , but in this instance , of course , used as they should be .. - they're going up in price , as they become more scarce - USD , perhaps 150 for a good pair ?

HA! Got Bruno in breeches! And he says he hates them...
Great stuff guys!
Re K-31, very good rifle, very accurate and simple to clean and keep maintained, very robust rifle. Still used as a competition rifle today with some people hitting a perfect 100 (ten shots on a 10 target) with them at 300m. I used it and swear by it.
Swiss Bergschuhe are becoming harder and harder to find with the nails on them, especially anything larger than a 44. Some pairs go for as much as 300 USD now, but still better than paying €500 for a Germany pair.
