Thanks guys for the friendilly comments, yes Feldgendarmrie maybe we could do a
photoshoot/portrayal together one day if you are bored lol, i must say this is one of
the coolest periods to do, cool music, cool kit, as i watched all the "Nam" films when
i was a kid lol
I suppose iam a bit of a "Mr Benn" lol, when im bored i get more kit lol, it keeps
my intrest in the hobby alive, for some its an intrest in vehicles, for me its kit,
especially the "personal aspect".
I have done a lot of research on this portrayal, especially how items were worn and what was
carried, all in all with research etc its taken me about 4 months to get this together, ive tried to
keep it as "real" as possible as most of the kit is original pre 1968 dated gear, even down to the
"bug-juice" and suncream lol, only the shirt/trousers are repro, the rest ive searched e-bay or
dealers for it.
Ive done a basic Airborne "grunt" portrayal in keeping with my WW2 version rather than do these fancy S-F
ones wearing all the tiger-striped kit that some do lol, anyway here's some other intresting "Nam" bits ive
managed to find

As for my Zippo, i got it off ebay and was from a Vietnam seller, apparently
it had been "found" in the jungle lol, probably some Grunt had dropped it ?
Anyway that "Newport/Shropshire" gig sounds good, pm me some details
if you can please, appreciated, i usually work weekends but im going to go
sick lol

Nice pic Hans K
I just stuck to a basic "grunt" portrayal myself lol, i was going to do B&W
but tried to reproduce the 1970's kodak colour instead, hope it looks ok
