Museumsprojekt Heimat e.V. is a recently formed association in Germany and although we are the only association in
Germany to form a Waffen-SS group as our main impression, we are more than that and do have impressions from
various other periods as well.
Our main impression is the Florian Geyer SS Cavalry unit.
Not all of our private events revolve around "Battles", some of the time we are active with clearing up and building projects.
In a very short time we have got everyone looking the same, not an easy task for a new group
Sometimes some of us are called on to play "Enemy Forces" for the main group. We are each wearing three trousers and two pullovers
under the uniforms, it was that cold.
It may look like "Scott of the Antarctic" but it is our tents in sub-zero degrees!
My first time at Waterloo, 32nd Regiment of Foot (Cornwalls)
Three members of our association are active in this unit
We are involved with various museums in Germany and mainland Europe, here we are at the Panzermuseum Munster
Inside the main building at the Panzermuseum.
Some of our friends, the NVA Group from Eastern Germany reenacting the 70s-80s..
The German Home Front is also represented, during a museums open day.
Sometimes we are not in "uniforms", but doing some sort of research projects, this photo was taken at the Wannsee Conference
building in Berlin.
Both of these fellows have work with us in the past and are our latest additions. "Britanicus" in the foreground can be seen wearing
the British WW2 uniform in the 4th photo.
This has been a small insight into what we do, thanks for taking the time to look.
Cheers, Bill.

Hello Bill,
Was trying to get the definitive answer on what is and isn't allowed as far a reenacting German units in Germany. Are there issues with wearing siegrunes, swastika flag waving? Tried to ask in another thread but no one appeared to know the answer!
You seem to be best person to ask!

Bill seldom visits as his energies are focussed on real world activities and not the petty arguments and sniping he endures from Germans opposed to his legitimate activities with museums and historical projects.
However - if you peruse some of the less "spoiled" threads concerning re-enactment in Germany you will find the answer to your question - Indeed Bill's photos are self explanatory - Museumsprojekt Heimat wears, when necessary and in context, full insignia to give an accurate portrayal of the subject in hand. Gratuitous wearing of the Hakenkreuz however is streng verboten in Germany.
Do it at a bona fide event with a museum etc. and it's fine. Do it in the street or to make a political statement and it's a no no.

Straight enough answer. Ta.Hoffman Grink wrote:Bill seldom visits as his energies are focussed on real world activities and not the petty arguments and sniping he endures from Germans opposed to his legitimate activities with museums and historical projects.

Re: Museumsprojekt Heimat e.V.
Thank you Paul for answering the question for me, you were spot on with your answer.
Yes, we are a legally recognised Verein (Association) within Germany and Hoffman Grink
has already mentioned that we do museum work.
Cheers, Bill.
